August 17' Van registrations steady
August typically a quiet month saw demand rise at the highest level for 12 years at 1.5%.
Undrneath the figures it is a tale of two stories - a tale of the smaller vans 2.0-2.5T driving the growth versus demand for larger vans declining. On a year-to-date basis the market for pickups and smaller vans increased, up 14.4% and 11.4% respectively, while heavier van registrations declined -4.0%.
